Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
Clear Gallery ("the app") is built to be completely private. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
No data collection
Clear Gallery does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We operate no servers that receive your data.
Everything happens on your device
All photo scanning, AI analysis, and search run entirely on your iPhone. Your photos and any data derived from them (such as the on-device search index) never leave your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
Photo library access
The app requests access to your photo library only to scan your gallery on-device, help you find photos you may want to remove (such as screenshots and memes), let you search your own photos by words or by person, and delete the photos you choose. This access is used only locally; no photo or its contents is ever sent off the device. Deletions are performed through the standard iOS system, which asks for your confirmation.
AI model downloads
On first use, the app downloads its AI model files from a secure third-party server over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, so that all analysis can then run offline on your device. This is a one-way download of files to your device — the app does not send your photos, personal data, or usage information during this process, or at any other time.
Local storage
Any data the app creates (such as the search index) is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes it.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
